The Pinti Luxury lines are treated with a special process called PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) = an innovative coating technology that allows a thin film (just a few microns) to be applied to the base of the cutlery, which guarantees the lines an exceptional surface hardness (as opposed to painted utensils). PVD takes place in a vacuum chamber, where metals such as titanium, zirconium and chromium evaporate and adhere to the surface of the cutlery, creating the desired coating. The result is greater surface hardness and the possibility of obtaining different colors.

CHARACTERISTICS OF PVD:

- exceptional surface hardness (1000-2500hv)

- greater resistance to wear and abrasion

- resistance to UV rays, solvents, acids, alkalis and most household cleaning agents

- better corrosion resistance than any other surface treatment
