Product description

A coffee percolator is a vessel that brews coffee by continuously cycling boiling or near-boiling water through the grounds by gravity until the desired strength is reached. The ground coffee sits in a perforated metal filter basket.

The HENDI UNIQ percolator is crafted with precision and style – its elegant matt black finish stands out at any buffet. It has practical features such as a drip-free tap, water level indicator and automatic keep-warm, ensuring smooth, reliable hot drink service every time.

Instructions for using the Hendi Uniq percolator

Clean the filter, filter lid, percolator tube and inside of the tank with a non-abrasive detergent and rinse with clean water. Pour cold water into the tank; it must be filled at least halfway. Fit the percolator tube firmly into the recess at the bottom of the tank and push the filter tray onto it. Put the ground coffee into the filter and fit the filter lid. Close the tank lid. Plug the cable into a socket and turn the power switch to "ON". When the indicator light turns green, brewing is complete (approx. 52 min from start). The heating system then switches on automatically to keep the coffee warm. Percolators automatically keep warm after brewing. When fewer than 3 cups of coffee remain in the tank, switch off and unplug.

Tip: use 500 g of coarsely ground coffee per 10 litres of water

Ease of use: percolators are often designed for simple, automated brewing, so the process runs without extra supervision. A mulled wine pot needs more monitoring so the contents don't overheat or the spices don't over-steep, which could affect the taste. Fast process: percolators prepare drinks faster thanks to a system for quick, even heating. This is useful for larger quantities when you want hot drinks ready in less time.
